With the rapid changes facing us due to the COVID-19 pandemic, our small team is taking things day by day.
This time is also allowing us to slow down, breathe deeply, and reflect on our values of empathy, awareness and community. On why we dedicate ourselves to the work of supporting young people in fostering their relationships with the land. On how we can continue to support this resilient community. On how the healing power of the sun, the wind, the waters and the land are ever-present and available to us.
You can access our full message to our community below.
To empower a diverse range of Northerners to spend more time connecting meaningfully with the land, and developing a deeper sense of empathy, awareness and community.
Rivers to Ridges designs, supports and delivers outdoor and land-based programs for young people year-round.
We are based out of Whitehorse, Yukon and also run programs across the Territory. We respectfully acknowledge that we live and work on the traditional territory of the Kwanlin Dün First Nation and Ta'an Kwäch'än Council. We work to actively include local Elders and knowledge holders in our programs to bring their unique cultural teachings and stories of this land. Learn more about our Commitment to Reconciliation.
